Fund I invested $40 million in a national retail chain, NCSN Supermarket Chain, in China in 2009. Our joint venture partner was China All Supply and Market Co-op (全国供销总社).
We exited in 2014 and the company became a publicly listed company in the A share market called Co-op Group (供销大集, 000564.SZ).
After Fund I, we structured and led a dedicated special purpose vehicle that acquired two Hilton-branded hotels in New York City from RLJ Lodging Trust in 2016 for approximately $285 million.
We served as the asset manager of the portfolio through 2023, when both hotels were successfully sold to a new institutional owner.
Invested in Angel Planet Foods in 2024, an innovative plant-based food company focused on improving human health and promoting environmental sustainability through a unique combination of plant-based proteins and Asian-inspired cuisine. The company successfully launched its products in leading grocery stores and built a loyal and growing customer base.
